Logo Contest

EOD* needs a logo and we’re inviting you to design it!

Why do we need a logo?

This is part of creating a brand for EOD, which we’ve never had before. We need a way to easily recognize EOD athletes, officials, volunteers and materials, especially when we are competing as a division, such as at the Ontario Summer Games or hosting National or International events.

How will the logo be used?

On our shirts, hats, division championship medals, website and documents. It will also become part of our overall branding which will include other design elements.

What are the design guidelines?

The words “Canoe Kayak Eastern Ontario Division” must appear below or as part of the logo.
The logo must work on a white background and possibly one or two other colours (such as a coloured T-shirt). What colours would you recommend?
The design must work in small (e.g. an official’s shirt pocket crest or on a medal) and large formats such as banners.

What are the contest rules?

Participants do not need to be a member of EOD. Tell your creative friends!
Each participant can submit more than one logo design.
Submissions may be full colour in digital format using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign or Powerpoint or may be a scanned design or photo of artwork.
Each submission must include your name, email address and telephone number.
Email your submission to eodlogocontest@gmail.com.
Submissions must be received by February 20, 2017.
The design will be selected by the EOD branding team and approved by the EOD Board.
The winner will be notified via email by March 15, 2017 and an announcement will be posted on the EOD website and in EOD club newsletters.
EOD reserves the right to alter the design if required as part of creating the branding.
EOD reserves the right to not select a winner if no submission is deemed suitable.
The winning design becomes property of EOD and the winner does not retain rights to it (other than bragging rights!).
