Carleton Place Regatta, July 21-22, Carleton Place Canoe Club

Carleton Place Canoe Club is celebrating its 125th anniversary!

This year is a very special year for the Carleton Place Canoe Club - the oldest continually operating canoe club in Canada. There will be live music through the breaks of the day, as well as a bouncy castle, dunk tank, fun activities and many vendors, so bring the whole family!

The club will also be hosting a commodores bash in the main building following the Saturday events from 8:00pm - 1:00am to celebrate the rich history of the oldest continually operating club Canada. Regatta

This is an EOD-sanctioned regatta. Participants are:

Day 1 - Saturday, July 21, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm - U15 (U11-U15) & Paddle ALL Regatta

Day 2 - Sunday, July 22 - U16+ and Masters

Races will run on our 200m and 500m (450m) course.

U15 Regatta

The final draw is posted below. The scratch meeting is on Saturday at 7 AM so races can start at 8 am sharp.

CPCC Regatta ribbons will be awarded to all 1st to 6th place finishes.

Regatta Cup points will be awarded as follows (based on fastest times from heats):

1st = 16 pts, 2nd = 8 pts, 3rd = 6 pts, 4th = 5 pts, 5th = 4 pts, 6th = 3 pts, 7th = 2 pts, 8th = 1 pts

Club entries are due Monday, July 16th by 8:00 pm (coaches , please use the form below). Please submit entries by email to coach@cpcanoeclub.com. A draft race card will be sent back to clubs on Wednesday, July 18th. Clubs must submit any needed changes on Thursday, July 19th by 9:00 am. A final race card will be sent to clubs on Thursday.

There will be a $10 per participant registration fee. Each participant is allowed to race a total of 5 events in singles, doubles and fours, as well as 2 war canoe events. Coaches, please fill out the invoice sheet with the total number of participants and provide a cheque payable to Carleton Place Canoe Club at the Coaches/Officials meeting on Saturday morning.

Coaches/Officials meeting will take place at 7:00 am on the morning of the regatta in the club’s main hall.
