Ontario Summer Games

Ontario Summer Games, August 2-4, London

The London 2018 Ontario Summer Games is supported by the Ontario Government, through its Games Ontario program. This program delivers or supports multi-sport events, including the Ontario Summer and Winter Games for youth, the Ontario 55+ Summer and Winter Games, the Ontario Parasport Games, the 2017 North American Indigenous Games and the 2017 Invictus Games.

Our competition objectives are to provide an inter-divisional (EOD and WOD) Provincial Championships in a multisport Games environment.

Selection Criteria

The EOD team will consist of 48 U16 athletes and 5 Special Olympic athletes.

The 48 athletes will be from the U16 age category. There will be 24 males and 24 females, top 12 from each discipline, with the exception of canoers. They will be chosen as follows: top 6 fastest lefts, top 6 fastest rights. Athletes will race for team spots at the North Bay regatta in the U16 singles races (K1 or C1).

The 5 Special Olympic athletes must race at the Carleton Place regatta to qualify their spot.

Results

The results are in! EOD wins the 2018 Ontario Summer Games Burgee with 629 points. WOD was close behind with 584 points. The results document is posted below.
