What is it?

This one day training camp event is intended to bring together athletes from different canoe clubs in the Eastern Ontario Division of Canoe Kayak Canada. The goal of the camp is to provide a fun and knowledgeable training environment for young athletes to experience the sport, make new friends, and learn about the training camp setting.

Who is it for?

The target age groups are 2019 competitive season U12s and U14s, or athletes in the Learn to Train stage of the Long Term Athlete Development model. Athletes registering for this event must have permission from their club coach.

Registration & Cost

The $35 per athlete registration fee includes your lunch, snacks throughout the day, and camp t-shirt.

The deadline to register is Saturday, September 28 th by 5:00pm.

Clubs must submit the registration form from the information package with all information requested.

8:30 – 9:00am Registration

9:00 – 9:30am Introduction and Warm Up Game

9:30 – 11:00am On water session # 1 (singles technical practice)

11:00 – 12:00pm Dryland Training Activity

12:00 – 12:45pm Lunch Provided

1:00 – 2:30pm On water session # 2 (crew boat technical practice)

2:30 – 3:15pm Dryland Game

3:30 – 5:00pm On water races!

What to bring

Water bottle, multiple sets of on-water & dryland training clothes, running shoes, any personal paddling equipment. You (or your canoe club) will be expected to bring the necessary singles boat and paddles for your participation. The CPCC will provide crew boats for the crews session.
